Damavand

|
El Damavand es un
majestuoso volcán extinguido que posee una altura de
5671 m y está ubicado en la zona central de la
cordillera Elburz y a unos 80 Km al noreste de la
capital de Irán. Es el pico más alto del país y a su
vez el más alto volcán de la región de Oriente Medio.
El cráter del mismo es de aproximadamente 150 m de
ancho y 20 m de profundidad. En el fondo hay un lago
congelado con un diámetro de 40 m. El Damavand y sus
alrededores es una zona muy adecuada para realizar
actividades como el alpinismo, el senderismo y el
esquí. Para ascender a su pico existen cuatro rutas
principales:
1. Ruta sur: es una ruta normal que posee 2
refugios a una altura de 3000 y 4150 m.
2. Ruta oeste: cuenta con un refugio y una
hermosa vista del valle Sabzlar y es considerada una
ruta de gran belleza.
3. Ruta norte: con 2 construcciones ligeras
(a 4000 y 4600 m) y pendientes pronunciadas, es la
ruta más dificultosa, especialmente durante la
temporada invernal.
4. Ruta noroeste: es la más larga de todas
pero permite contemplar el valle Yakhar y sus
paredes heladas. Cuenta con un refugio (a 4200 m).
Ninguna de estas rutas es técnica, sin embargo,
durante las ascensiones de invierno, debido a las
condiciones meteorológicas, es preciso contar con un
equipo completo y suficiente experiencia.

Alamkouh
|
|
La zona de Alamkuh,
situada en la zona central de la cordillera Elburz,
cuenta con más de 40 picos de altura superior a los
4000 m y es una de las regiones más grandes para
realizar actividades de alpinismo en Irán. El pico
Alamkuh es el segundo pico en cuanto a altura del
país.
Su cara norte (450-550 m) dispone de más de 10 rutas
abiertas y diversas rutas modernas. Está considerado
el pico de mayor grado de dificultad y el más
interesante de Irán. A partir de 1964, sus rutas
técnicas fueron abiertas por alpinistas iraníes,
alemanes, polacos y franceses. Sus principales rutas
son las siguientes:
1. Ruta Hesarchal: ésta llega al pico a
través de su cara sur y es la ruta más fácil.
2. Ruta Siahsangha: esta ruta cuenta con 2
construcciones ligeras situadas a 3850 m (Sarchal) y
4700 m en la parte noroeste del pico. En algunas
partes de esta ruta se requiere de buena habilidad
en terrenos rocosos. No está considerada una ruta
técnica.
3. Garde Almanha: es una ruta fascinante para
aquellos que deseen llevar a cabo ascensiones
técnicas pero no arriesgadas.
4. Pared del Alamkuh: las principales rutas
abiertas en esta pared son las siguientes:
a) Hari Rust-Najah: cuenta con diez largos de
cuerdas y el grado de la ruta es de A1-5,10.
b) Ruta Faransaviha: posee de 12 a 14 largos
de cuerda y es una ascensión atractiva, dentro de la
amplitud del pico. El grado de la ruta es A2-5,11.
c) Ruta Lahestani 52: cuenta con 11 largos de
cuerda y frecuentemente es ascendida. El grado de la
misma es A3-5,9.
d) Ruta Lahestani 48: esta ruta, con una
longitud de 10 largos de cuerda, es la más técnica
de todas. Aparte de las dos primeros largos, los
cuales están equipados, los restantes requieren ser
asegurados, y en este sentido es como si se tratara
de abrir una nueva ruta.

Sabalan
|
The beautiful nature of Sabalan with its several hot and cold springs is
located in Ardabil province. Sabalan is the third highest mountain of
Iran (4811m) and there is a beautiful lake about 50*50m on top of the
peak with 15m depth. This lake is frozen in 10 month of the year. The
big shelter of Sabalan is on the east route.
What makes Sabalan an extraordinary summit, is the north Glacier with
660m height, wihich is the hope of every Ice climber in Iran to Ascend.
This glacier has a very steep slope, and is the best place for ice
climbing over 4000m altitude.
There are two other peaks in this region. Heram Dagh (4400m) and Kasre
Dagh (4350m) with shelters on their routes. |

Bisotoun
|
The Bistoun wall
with the height of 1200m in three stages is the longest wall of Iran,
located about 30 km of Kermanshah city, in one of the west provinces of
Iran. There are several routes with different type of difficulty;
somehow most of them need more than one day to finish. Longest route has
about 15 pitches. These routes are established by Iranian and foreign
climbers. Every climber can find desired route to enjoy.
In parts of this huge cliff, there are some carvings from ancient Iran;
Farhad Tarash, Bisotoun inscriptions, Hercules statue and other rock
relief’s by Darius the great in 520 BC are samples of them. |

Dizin
|
There are 16 ski slops
in Iran, which Dizin, is the most famous and largest
of them. The
resort has a reputation for excellent snow often like powder, high
altitude (one of the world's 40 highest ski centers) and the north
facing slopes of Mt Sichal. The resort length is 4 km with 950 meters
vertical descents at altitudes of 3600 to 2650 meters from the see
level.
The ski facilities include 3 gondola lines, 2 chair lifts and 6 T-bar
lifts. The main line takes from first station in height of 2650 m to a
restaurant in the middle of the mountain at about 3175 m where there are
many other lifts including the one that takes to the top just below the
summit of Mt sichal.
In the upper slopes of Dizin there are magnificent panorama of 4387 m Mt
Kholeno, 4210 m Mt Sarakchal, 4156 m Mt Koloun Bastak, 5671 m Mt
Damavand in the east and 4850 m Mt Alamkouh in the west.
Summertime, snow disappears in Dizin, but skiing continues, in the recent
years grass skiing has become popular and several international
competitions have been held in Dizin.
Distance between Tehran and Dizin from the Karaj-Chalous road is about
123 km and via Shemshak road is 71 km. Dizin has 2 hotels, 19 cottage
and 5 restaurants.

Shemshak
|
Shemshak
ski area is the second largest resort near to Tehran, with lifts up to
1450 meters in length, and 500 meters vertical height. The highest point
of field is 3050 m, while the lowest point is 2550 m above the see
level. It has 2 chair lift staitions and 4 T-bar lifts.
Shemshak with very steep slopes of up to 45 degrees is one of the most
challenging ski areas in Iran, someplace that is suitable for expert
skiers and those who enjoy ski moguls. Night skiing is the other
facility of shemshak that provides an enjoyable environment.
Shemshak is located at a distance of 59 km NE of Tehran. Its area has 2
hotels and 4 restaurants.

Enderesm
|
|
Charming valley of
Enderesm is located in northwest of Tehran in a distance of about
105 kilometers following Tehran-Chalous road. This wonderful valley with
its pure nature begins from Azad Bar Mountain and gorge after various
waterfalls ends in north jungles of Iran. Going through the Enderesm and
rappeling form 16 waterfalls is one of the most excitement
canyon tours in
Iran. Waterfall's height vary from 5 meters to 25 meters. There is one
option to move, walking in river and then coming down from another
waterfall. After the second waterfall there is no way back and the only
way is descending all of them.
